First of all, Jensen is nominated for Best TV Actor in the SyFy Portal Genre Awards as I mentioned last week, and although the boy will never win an Emmy, we can at least help him win this - any recognition is good! Supernatural is also up for Best Show and SupernaturalTV is up for best site, so please go and vote and help our show get more attention!

Second, the lovely drvsilla has asked me to do a Deanlicious picspam of my boy in S1 for her wonderful spn_nostalgia comm, but because the picspams are for the whole season, they've been divided into thirds and she still needs two other hardcore Deangirls like myself to spam the promo pictures/eps 1-6 and eps 7-14, since I'm doing eps 15-22. And because it always seems like I have WAY more vocal Samgirls or bi-bro gals on my flist, if any of y'all have an unhealthy obsession with Dean and a whole lot of s1 pictures of him, please consider giving a holler here so that Dru has a chance to offer you the job if she hasn't found someone else yet. Saw Hancock this morning: half a really awesome anti-hero flick, half incomprehensible jibberish, I'm only disappointed because it had the potential to be SO much more. I read a blog or article or something about one of the original writers someplace about how it was too dark and cynical for the studios to swallow, but he would've been like, a REAL alcoholic, and there would have been this really blackly comic scene dealing with, y'know, how do superheroes with super SPERM fuck without blowing a hole in the person they're banging, with Hancock essentially um, doing that, or something. Man, I would kill to get my hands on that version of the script. Just- shame on you, Sony, first Spidey 3 and now this? (Although of course Hancock wasn't nearly as horrific as S3) EPIC FAIL.

Am packing for Tenerife tomorrow, woot! (Even though we have to leave at like, 3am on Friday morning to check in for our 6am flight, less woot!) And the trailer for Wall-E keeps making me inexplicably tear up every time I see it, not sure what that's about but it doesn't bode well for the actual flick, methinks.

Mum has booked us a holiday here for the second week of July. I've never been to Tenerife before and the place looks fucking GORGEOUS, and lord knows I want a proper tan because the British weather makes me sad in the face even when it's sunny. And I think the resort has internet even if the rooms don't, which makes a change from most places in Europe we go - so it'll feel less like I've cut off all contact with the outside world, at least. Need access to potential Jensen pictures/gossip, after all.

This week I have written WAY more het than slash, which is pretty goddamn new considering how allergic to it I used to be. I choose to blame Cherry, and Katherine Heigl's unbelievable hotness. But still, SHOCKING.

Saw Wanted last night - SO motherfucking cool that my eyeballs still have frostbite, GOD. The sequence at the climax may have made me soil myself, SO motherfucking slick. So, apparently Hang Time and Two Faces Have I got themselves nominated at the spn_oscars, which I find endlessly amusing. I'm choosing to blame moment_of_sen because I'm fairly sure no-one else has even heard of this thing, let alone would nominate my crap, but it's giggleworthy nonetheless, and if anyone else was crazy enough to put my fics forward, you have my eternal gratitude. It's a very sweet sentiment, even if I'm not entirely certain they're my BEST (my Jensen/Sam and Jensen/Dean or my Jensen/Jared/Jeff 'verses are probably better written, really, even if they're not as well known).

My home internet is driving me motherfucking CRAZY, and if I ever meet Richard Branson, I'm gonna shove a ethernet cable up his ass - never thought I'd find an ISP who was better at clusterfucking than BT, but our Virgin connection goes off EVERY afternoon between about 2-5, and last night it then went off from midnight until about 4pm today continuously; I was seriously about to take a hammer to the goddamn thing. If I didn't have my iPhone that thankfully connects somehow through the magic of having O2 signal, even if there's not a a wifi point in range, I'd probably have hunted Mr. Branson down last night and taken a power drill to his 'nads. I'm biding my time...
Of course, we can't actually switch because we're planning on moving house soon, so there's no point hopping over to Sky and changing our phone/internet/digital all at once, so we're goddamn stuck, but I swear to god, any fellow Brits, if you're ever thinking of changing over to Virgin, DON'T DO IT. We phone them every damn week, seems like, and they still haven't figured out what the problem is or how to fix it, goddamn MORONS.

Also, I downloaded Shelter a while ago from one of the flist uploads, but for some insane reason the bugger doesn't work - if anyone still has active links to their upload, I'd totally appreciate being pointed in that direction, since I know about twenty of my flisters uploaded it when everyone started jumping on the bandwagon, but it'd be like looking for a needle in a haystack if I tried going back to find it now, even if I could remember everyone who posted it.

Just done another quick flist trim and it still makes me feel sucky. Mostly reading journals/names I don't recognise/those with whom I've diverged interests (IE nothing but bandom and Doctor Who/Torchwood) if I've gotten to know you better then I'm fine with posts about other fandoms too, but if we're practically strangers it doesn't seem fair to keep you there when I'm just scrolling past your posts every time.

Again, DEFINITELY not a personal thing, I just like to be able to know who I'm reading and who's reading my very few private entries. All my fic and inane ramblings are still unlocked, so if you were only here for the fic or my Jensenspams that shouldn't be a problem - I think my rare emo posts and personal picspams are the only things I lock, so you're definitely not missing out - but obviously feel free to defriend me if you feel like it, I know how much it hurts to stick around after a cut wondering if someone hates you, but again, I love you ALL, I just want to know the folks I have around.

If you think I've defriended in error, which is always possible since so many people have similar LJ names and it confuses me sometimes, drop me a comment or email and I'll add you back. I just know that a fair few people have added me recently and if they take the time to stick around and let me get to know them better, I want to be able to friend them back without crying over missing other posts because of an inflated flist. Jensen is at the top of the Emmy Awards ballot list for Outstanding Lead in a Drama Series. Of course, that's only because his last name begins with A, and we know he hasn't got a snowball's chance in meathookville of winning, but it's still damn pretty to see.

It's somewhat ruined by the fact that shows nominate freaking EVERYONE and that even CHAD and Penn Badgley from GG have been nominated (seriously, CW? You think there's ANY comparison in acting talent?) but I can just pretend that the shortlist is actually just three people long and consists of Jensen, David Boreanaz and Kyle Chandler, even if we all know none of 'em will get the win. Yummy yummy Taylor's up for Best Supporting, along with most of the other FNL cast members - yay! And apparently true to her wishes, Katherine Heigl is pretty much the only member of the Greys cast not to be nominated at all. Even though she's pretty much the only reason I watch it these days. BAH, I hate Hollywood politics. (ETA: No, Jared isn't nominated at all, yes, it's probably unfair, but I really don't want this turning into a J vs. J thing because it's entirely overdone and we go through it every damn year. I randomly wrote an angstyish Sam/girl!Dean blowjob ficlet over at the dirty wincest meme, and you should all go prompt and write porn for me to read, since clearly my porn-fu is broken and angst is ALL MY WITHERED HEART IS CAPABLE OF.

I kid, I'm actually feeling very cheery. Y'all probably know of my propensity to leave everything to the very last minute regarding essay deadlines, and this year I literally wrote my Postmodernism essay in three hours, FOUR hours before the deadline, and thus didn't even have a chance to proofread it before I handed it in. Similarly, I wrote my audience and research paper in five hours (8000 words when it should've been 4000, I was quite on fi-yah), and literally left myself about 15 minutes to get to uni before the deadline, also without proofreading, and I just got the marks back today, a 2:2 and a 2:1 - which is a C and a B, in real money. Also got a B for my screenwriting which was a similar clusterfuck. To say I am relieved would be quite le understatement. Makes me remember that if I actually gave myself more than 4 hours to do these things, I'd probably get straight As. Ah, well, I'm not a fan of the organised learning thing.

ALSO finally got my journalism portfolio back from being externally assessed, and not only did I get a First (A), my course supervisor told me that it was the highest grade that had ever been awarded in the module. \o/ Yay, I'm a GEEK. But only for film journalism, of course. But I'm thrilled, because I enjoyed that module SO much and was really worried that it didn't come out very well because I was struggling with the color piece and interview I did with Oliver Stapleton, but my tutor said it was practically perfect in every way! ;_; It's such a relief to be good at SOMETHING lol, I tend to coast along as a B student the rest of the time, but I wanted one area where I could actually excel so that I'm actually hireable by the end of all this. Probably means I should've done a journalism course instead of film, mayhaps, but hey, there's always a Masters degree if I want to avoid the real world a little longer. What I'd really love is to get into UCLA or NYU and study under professional film tutors - I've been looking at UCLA for a while, but dear GOD their tuition fees are way more than this impoverished student can afford. Guess I've got a year to plan...

Wow, that was a really tl;dr way of saying, YAY, GOOD GRADES. Shall shut up now.
